This Skid Plate is constructed from UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight) plastic which is significantly lighter than aluminum. UHMW is an extremely durable polymer that is used in many applications where abrasion resistance (the ability to slide over a rock) and impact resistance is critical. This provides the underside of your Kawasaki Mule Pro excellent protection from boulders, stumps, and other objects that can cause expensive damage to the frame, engine, and differentials.
The UHMW provides a smooth and slick surface which helps your Kawasaki Mule Pro glide over obstacles easier than Aluminum Skid Plates. The smooth surface of the UHMW layer greatly reduces the chances of getting 'Hung Up" on obstacles and is much Quieter than Aluminum.
